and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Since they burst onto the English folk scene in 1978, Blowzabella has acquired ‘legendary’ status, not only in this country but right across Europe. The band continues to exhilarate and inspire listeners, dancers and musicians with exciting new material and their “inimitable, driving, drone-based wall of sound”.
Members of Blowzabella are all well-known folk musicians in their own right, comprising of Andy Cutting on diatonic button accordion; Jo Freya on vocals, saxophones, clarinet, Paul James also on vocals, bagpipes, saxophones, David Shepherd on violin; Barn Stradling on bass guitar and Jon Swayne playing bagpipes and saxophones.

Members of the band will kick off the evening with a dance workshop suitable for all, including beginners. There will also be seating available for people who would like to enjoy the concert.
The dance / concert and dance workshop will take place at Worplesdon Memorial Hall on Friday 17 May starting at 6:00 pm. Tickets from www.folkinspiration.org
