Staines-upon-Thames is set to launch a summer of free family friendly events, with the return of the popular Outdoor Theatre and the arrival of Summer of Sport.

The incredibly popular Outdoor Theatre will take over the month of August, entertaining the local community with a variety of performances set to bring an electric atmosphere to the town. Shows will take over different locations around Staines every Thursday throughout the month, with a variety of ticketed and non-ticketed events.

The impressive event lineup is thanks to sponsors Visit Staines, the Business Improvement District (BID) for Staines-upon-Thames and Spelthorne Borough Council, with the full itinerary as follows:

Joana Santos, BID Manager for Visit Staines, commented “We’re getting ready for our summer of events here in Staines-upon-Thames and we are so excited for everything that is to come. Our collaboration with Spelthorne Borough Council for the return of the Outdoor Theatre is a fantastic way to make the performing arts are accessible to all, whilst our Summer of Sport is a great way to get local families moving out in the sunshine (let’s hope!). We look forward to seeing some familiar faces once again, and welcoming any new visitors to our lovely town.”
