Charming 13th century Surrey pub set to receive six-figure investment

The 13th century Ye Olde Swan pub in Thames Ditton, Surrey, will be receiving a six-figure investment this autumn to blend its rustic charm with elevated food and drink menus.

Located on Summer Road, the much-loved Greene King pub has temporarily closed to the public from Saturday, October 25 whilst renovations take place, with the enhanced venue set to reopen its doors in early December.

Just as it has done for hundreds of years, Ye Olde Swan promises to continue to be a much-loved pub where customers can enjoy its cosy nooks and open fires alongside the best of today’s food and drinks offerings.

The planned improvements will preserve the historic charm of the riverside pub while adding a range of modern-day comforts.

Enhancements include works to the pub’s interior to create a warm and welcoming space for guests, whether they are seeking a midweek drink and a bite to eat or celebrating a special occasion with friends and family.

Ye Olde Swan’s beer garden with views over the Thames will also be refreshed, ensuring a comfortable alfresco dining area that can be enjoyed all-year round.
