Bagshot’s newest retirement community gets off to a lively start
Local retirees flocked to celebrate the official opening of McCarthy Stone’s Retirement Living Plus development, Violet Place on London Road, Bagshot, which was marked with a live rock and roll performance.
Vintage vocal and dance trio, The Jivettes, entertained the invited guests by performing a series of rock and roll classics from the 50s, as a tasty selection of nibbles and welcome refreshments were also served to guests.
Visitors took the opportunity to view two new show apartments and discover more about the wealth of services and facilities designed to offer both comfortable and practical retirement living at the new development. Retirees also had the chance to meet McCarthy Stone’s friendly team to learn more about the full and varied lifestyle on offer.
Sam Burley, Divisional Sales Director at McCarthy Stone, said: “We had a great day celebrating the opening of Violet Place and the whole McCarthy Stone team was delighted to welcome retirees from across the Bagshot area to join with us. We were extremely proud to show off how our low maintenance and thoughtfully designed retirement properties allow homeowners to enjoy their independence in retirement, with the added benefit of easy access to lovely communal areas that mean they can actively socialise with neighbours.”

Created specifically to meet the needs of the over 60s, each of the 46 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments at Violet Place pairs a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom with generous living spaces. Regular social events take place in the communal lounge, while attractive landscape gardens can be enjoyed all year round. Homeowners can also make full use of the chef-run bistro serving freshly prepared meals daily, along with the on-site salon and hotel-style guest suite.
For peace of mind, an Estate Management Team is on-site around the clock to ensure everything runs smoothly and provide bespoke personal care packages to suit individual needs. Each property is also fitted with a 24-hour emergency call point, intruder alarm, and door camera entry as standard.
Guide prices for Violet Place start from £350,000 for a one-bedroom retirement apartment and £500,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
More than nine out of 10 customers would recommend McCarthy Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation. McCarthy Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this rating every year it has taken part in the survey.
