Birdworld’s vibrant new attraction has been officially opened by Councillor Catherine Clark, the Chairman of East Hampshire District Council, in a colourful launch event which was dubbed a “feast for the senses.”

Love + Colour, the brand-new indoor attraction at the UK’s largest bird park, will officially open to the public on 25 May. It offers a celebration of the stunning world of colourful birds, providing an immersive experience for all ages. Located in Birdworld’s former ‘Temperate House’, the VIP event also invited Cllr. Anthony Williams from East Hampshire District Council, the Mayor of Farnham - Councillor Brodie Mauluka, local journalists, influencers and their children for an exclusive sneak peek. On arrival, visitors enjoyed colourful drinks and canapés, heard insightful talks from Birdworld’s dedicated team, and toured the new space, with one visitor describing it as “Beautifully designed with new discoveries at every turn.” Throughout Love + Colour, guests encountered an array of magnificent colourful birds in an enchanting walkthrough experience with beautiful murals created by local artist Jen Leach Murals. The area also includes brightly coloured 'selfie' spots, perfect for visitors of all ages, along with interactive play specially designed for young children. Focusing on the intricate relationship-building of birds and the lessons humans can draw from these behaviours, 'Love + Colour' offers a unique learning opportunity. It seeks to share knowledge about avian relationships and mating rituals in a manner that's both educational and enjoyable, encouraging visitors to draw parallels with their own relationship experiences. At the end of the walkthrough, the captivating tour culminates in a vibrant display of birds from some of Birdworld's successful breeding programmes, including the Asian Glossy Starlings, with their petrol-green plumage shimmering in a glossy, metallic sheen that catches the light magnificently. Marketing Manager Woodies Wheeler-Bennett said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us at the launch event for Love + Colour. "The entire Birdworld team has worked extremely hard to create this spectacular experience where your senses will come alive as you soak in the sights, sounds, and textures of the avian world. Seeing our vision come to life has been a joy, and we're thrilled about opening to the wider public on 25 May. We can't wait for you to experience all that we've put together." Love + Colour is a free attraction included with admission at no extra cost. The campaign will be ongoing, with the official launch celebrations taking place from 25 May to 2 June.
