ZONE3 was originally founded in 2004 by James Lock, a former elite triathlete, while at the University of Loughborough. The brand has grown organically due to its loyal and engaged triathlon community and consistently highly-rated specialist triathlon products. More recently, the brand has expanded their product offering to support the swim and SUP communities with sustainable wetsuits and open-water accessories.

Hide AdLock, who collected the award from Windsor Castle on the 9th July 2024 said, “I am incredibly proud that ZONE3 has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. This accolade is testament to ZONE3’s mission to be the most loved and chosen specialist sports brand in the world.

My own background as a former athlete, innate passion for triathlon and my competitive nature, has helped me to build ZONE3 from a grassroots level to a global market player.
We are all delighted that our business enterprise has been recognised and this has been achieved thanks to an exceptionally talented, positive and hardworking team of staff.”
