Local opticians provides a helping hand to the homeless

The clinic will be run throughout the year and will provide clients with a comprehensive eye examination with an experienced optometrist. Where required, patients will be provided with spectacles free of charge, provided by leading optical brand – Zeiss. Dry eye drops have also been issued in the clinic to help patient symptoms.

Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists Egham has partnered with a national charity to provide eyecare services to local people experiencing homelessness.

The opticians has teamed up with Vision Care for Homeless People to launch a specialist eyecare clinic for Egham’s homeless community, who cannot access eye tests through the NHS.

The clinic will be run throughout the year and will provide clients with a comprehensive eye examination with an experienced optometrist. Where required, patients will be provided with spectacles free of charge, provided by leading optical brand – Zeiss. Dry eye drops have also been issued in the clinic to help patient symptoms.

Through this initiative we want to provide a welcoming and safe environment to check eye health and provide spectacles when needed free of charge.
