Antler Homes has revealed the launch of a much-anticipated new village shop, at its Knights Green development in Loxwood, West Sussex. With no existing grocery shop in the vicinity, the store will serve as a key commercial hub for the local community when it opens in Spring 2025.

Andrew Rinaldi, Managing Director of Antler Homes, comments: “Being a customer-centric firm is one of our key values, and that means more than providing just houses. We are here to build homes and communities with excellence at the core of all we deliver. The new village shop in Loxwood will serve as a bustling hub where locals can find all their daily essentials, from groceries to the morning papers.”

Located at Knights Green, the new village shop will serve the existing Loxwood community, along with those purchasing homes at the development.

In tandem with the new village shop, Knights Green will launch homes for sale from spring 2025. Available properties will include 19 houses, ranging from two to four bedrooms, and eight shared purchase apartments, with the latter provided through affordable housing provider Landspeed. The village shop will open before the homes are completed, to ensure the local community benefits from it as soon as possible.

For property buyers, Knights Green has much to offer. Located within easy reach of the South Downs National Park and the Surrey Hills and High Weald Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the development is ideal for those who enjoy spending time in nature. Cycling, horse riding and mountain biking are all common local pursuits, while the banks of the tranquil River Lox and the Wey and Arun Canal deliver both superb walks and a haven for local wildlife.

The new village shop will add to the selection of local amenities available in Loxwood, which include a florist, hairdresser and butcher, as well as a doctor’s surgery and dispensary. The wider area provides supermarkets, luxury boutiques and high street brands in Cranleigh, Dorking and Billingshurst. The latter also hosts the nearest train station to Knights Green, with trains running to London Gatwick Airport in 35 minutes and London Victoria in 75. Alternatively, trains from nearby Horsham reach Victoria in as little as 51 minutes. The A24 and A3 roads, offering connections to the M23 and M25, are also within easy reach.

In Loxwood itself, community spirit is alive and well. From its annual festival to a wealth of clubs and societies, the village buzzes with activity. History, singing, riding and gardening clubs, a range of dance classes, regular badminton sessions and a welcoming parent and toddler group serve a diverse range of interests.
