Richmond Hill Hotel promotes from within as new Executive Head Chef leads the team ahead of Christmas

Lukasz Krzysiek, formerly the popular Surrey hotel’s Senior Sous Chef, has taken the mantle after starting his new position last month.

Originally from Poland, and bringing a wealth of experience, Lukasz has worked at Richmond Hill for more than five years. He completed a four-year course at the Cooking Technical College and has completed various apprenticeships since starting his career as a chef.

Since then, Lukasz has worked in both Poland and Surrey including Stovell’s in Chobham before joining Richmond Hill Hotel as sous chef, working under former Head Chef, Jessen Valaydon.

Lukasz started at the Georgian hotel in 2019 and graduated from the Management Academy in 2022 which helped him progress through the ranks.

He said: “The past five years at Richmond Hill Hotel have been a whirlwind, I am honoured to take on the role of Executive Head Chef and lead the team especially as we gear up for a busy Christmas.

“It’s a fantastic team who help me to provide high quality dishes at 144 On The Hill, as well as inspiring our latest seasonal menu.

“The team and management have been incredibly supportive; I’m really looking forward to kickstarting the New Year in my new role, 2025 is looking exciting already.”

Lukasz will lead the breakfast service at the hotel whilst 144 On The Hill offers a la carte dining, afternoon tea and Sunday roasts.
