Bewley Homes Acquires Prime Development Site in Ockley, Surrey

Bewley Homes has announced the acquisition of a 9-acre site on land south of Coles Lane, in Ockley, Surrey. The land was purchased from Hawridge Land, who successfully secured outline planning permission for the site last year.

Situated between the villages of Ockley (1.5 miles to the west) and Capel (1 mile to the east), and on the outskirts of Dorking. Bewley Homes will now be preparing and submitting a Reserved Matters planning application, paving the way for the delivery of its highly acclaimed Garden Village Collection.

The outline planning permission already in place requires the provision of 40% affordable housing — equating to 24 high-quality homes — alongside the creation of a much-needed safe footpath linking Ockley Station and the village of Capel. Currently, this route is considered unsafe for pedestrians, and Bewley’s proposals will provide an important and beneficial connection for the local community.
