Guildford: Arrests made following affray incident

Arrests have been made following an affray in Guildford, Surrey Police have reported.

Officers were called to Bedford Road close to Y Bar at around 1am on Sunday (September 8), having been made aware of an altercation between five people at the location.

Four men were arrested at the scene as follows. All information comes directly from Surrey Police:

  • An 18-year-old man was arrested for affray, ABH, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and possession of class B drugs. He has been released on bail.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested for affray and ABH. He has been released on bail.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested for affray, ABH, and possession of class A drugs. He has been released on bail.
  • A fourth 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray, but later released with no further action.

Surrey Police are now looking to speak to several key witnesses who may have helped break up the altercation and who may have footage of the incident.

Surrey Police are also looking to identify any other people who may have been involved in the altercation.
