Robbery in Epsom: Man grabs woman by neck and steals bag

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a man grabbed a woman around the neck and stole her bag in Epsom.

Police said the robbery happened at around 6.15pm on Monday [April 15] as the woman walked down Laburnum Road away from Epsom High Street.

The suspect is described by Surrey Police as a Black man, approximately 5’ 10’’ tall, well built, and with an untidy short black beard. He was wearing a black jacket which was padded but not thick and black trousers.

After the robbery, he may have been carrying the woman’s beige bag over his shoulder, police added.
