Man dies in collision in Surrey village; police appeal for witnesses


The incident happened on the A24 in Capel, near Dorking yesterday (Tuesday, January 14).
Surrey Police is now appealing for witnesses.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called just after 7am on Tuesday, January 14, following reports of a two-vehicle collision between Kingsfold and Clark's Green.

Hide Ad“Fire, ambulance, and air ambulance attended, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware.
“The road was closed in both directions until 3.45pm to allow officers time to carry out their initial investigation. The road has now fully reopened.
“We are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to come forward.
