Surrey housekeeper wins £70,000 on scratchcard gift
A married woman in her 50s from Surrey has won £70,000 after receiving a Sapphire 7’s Doubler scratchcard as a gift.
The housekeeper, who received the ticket as a present, said it was a pleasant surprise that turned into something truly life changing.
She plans to put the winnings towards a new property for her and her husband.
The winner said: “I feel very happy but also lost for words, I cannot really describe it. To receive a scratchcard as a gift and then discover it's worth £70,000 is just incredible. It's going to make such a difference to our future.”

Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at Allwyn, operator of the National Lottery, said: “What a remarkable gift that turned out to be! £70,000 is a wonderful win, and we're delighted our Surrey winner can now work towards a new property with her husband. Congratulations!”
