Stagecoach Performing Arts - Husband and wife team bringing creative courage for life to Surrey

Grant and Natasha Clarke have been running Stagecoach Performing Arts schools for almost 20 years, in Staines and Woking and they have added Godalming to their growing business.

Stagecoach Performing Arts remains the preferred choice in Children's part time performing arts education for young people aged 4-18 years. This is not just down to their robust educational framework to support young people with developing their performing arts skills, but also down to the life skills that we want our children to possess. Such as leadership, resilience, problem solving and the all important confidence.

Husband and wife team Grant and Natasha Clarke are no strangers to affording young people with these skills, having been part of the Stagecoach network since 2006. Initially becoming the owners of Stagecoach Staines in 2006 which Natasha is the Principal of, Grant acquired Stagecoach Woking a few years later and has also become Principal of Stagecoach Godalming since September 2023.

Grant and Natasha have lived in Surrey for many years with their three children and bring a wealth of experience to their Stagecoach businesses. Grant boasts an impressive resume of acting credits particularly in commercials for some of the world's biggest brands such as Audi and Coca-Cola. Natasha started her career as a model for major campaigns and also appeared in Vogue, before moving into acting and appearing in the Fifth Element with Bruce Willis. She then went on to have a hit single with club track SalSoul Nugget - If ya wanna.

Both Grant and Natasha jumped at the chance to take on their own Stagecoach Franchise as it gave them the opportunity to commit time to their family life and also being able to pass their passion for the arts onto hundreds of young people each week. Grant said: It is really rewarding to see so many of our students get such a buzz out of coming to Stagecoach. We feel very lucky that we run schools with such talented teachers who share our passion for inspiring younger generations.

‘We love sharing the message that through performing arts young people can feel so empowered by being part of what feels like a family. So many children come to us with such little confidence and then find their voice’ added Natasha

As well as offering weekly enriching classes, both principals offer some pretty impressive performance opportunities for their students such as London’s West End and Disneyland Paris. In addition to that, they often bring in celebrities and professionals from the world of entertainment to lead workshops for their students. Recently, Stagecoach Woking and Godalming students were the first in the world to experience a dance workshop with a dancer from the The Barbie Movie. The Students had the most amazing time working with Liam from the movie. As well as learning original movie Choreography, they also heard about the behind the scenes goings on including how Margo Robbie would buy the whole cast a dessert treat every Friday when filming.

All three schools have had students who work professionally, and appear in an array of musicals, movie and television appearances. Most recently in several television commercials, This King and I with Helen George from Call the Midwife and the Live action remake of Disney’s Pinocchio.

The powerhouse couple have lots more in store for their students in the coming terms as they continue to spread the core message of Stagecoach Performing Arts; Creative Courage For Life.
