A diversion route has been set up for northbound traffic, with drivers being directed off the A3 at the Hazel Grove interchange before following the A333 and A287 towards Farnham.

The diversion continues via the B3228 West Street and A325 to the Coxbridge roundabout, before traffic is directed along the A31 Farnham bypass to re-join the A3 near Guildford.

National Highways advised motorists to plan ahead, consider alternative routes or delay journeys where possible.
