‘Now following’ – Crystal Palace set to battle Fulham for Luton Town defender and former Man United starlet
Crystal Palace are reportedly ‘following’ Luton Town defender and former Manchester United starlet Teden Mengi, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 21-year-old joined the newly-promoted Hatters for an undisclosed fee from United on August 31, signing a long-term contract.

Mengi has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season. The young defender netted his first Luton goal – and the first goal of his senior career – in the 2-1 win over Palace on November 25.
The England under-20 international has been lauded as ‘immense’ and ‘dominant’ by Hatters manager Rob Edwards since his move to Kenilworth Road.
And Mengi’s excellent debut campaign in the Premier League has reportedly caught the eye of Crystal Palace and London rivals Fulham, although transfer guru Romano hinted that a January deal for the young gun looked unlikely.
Romano tweeted: “Understand Fulham and Crystal Palace are now following Luton Town’s CB Teden Mengi for the future.
“He has become one of PL promising youngsters by leading U-21 players with the highest percentage of defensive duels won in Europe’s top 5 leagues this campaign.”
