One rising star set to grace CarFest's WigWam Stage is George Alfie, a prolific songwriter and performer hailing from Guildford. Despite leaving school at the young age of 9 (due to personal circumstances) and instead being home-schooled, George found solace in writing and performing, using music as a means of connection.

Gaining popularity in the Indie genre for his lyricism and attention to detail, George has played sold-out shows across the UK, particularly in his hometown. George's music has been featured on BBC Introducing, Future Hits Radio, and Amazing Radio. He recently supported Pip Blom on tour, and was named one of Hot Vox's'Future Icons'.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys, and The 1975, George collaborates with his bandmates to bring his original songs to life with intricate guitar licks and drum fills. Whether delivering electrifying performances with his band or heart-warming acoustic sets, George's goal is to “create a space where everyone feels seen and no one feels like a ghost in a room full of people”. Through his music and his following, he aims to demonstrate that these feelings are universal: "No one deserves to feel invisible."

Building on the triumph of last year, CarFest, which was founded by Virgin Radio breakfast presenter Chris Evans, returns this August Bank Holiday (23rd to 25th August) to Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire for its 13th year; bringing back its now firmly established and loved seven magical festivals: AdventureFest, FoodFest, KidsFest, RetroFest, SpaFest, StarFest and, of course, CarFest, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
