Weybridge Stagecoach welcomes talented Principal to lead performing arts school

As the new Principal of the established school, Simmonds will bring her creative and professional experience to the young acting, singing and dancing students.

Performing arts have been a major part ofSimmonds’ life, having trained at The Brit School in Musical Theatre and then The Urdang Academy, where she achieved a degree in musical theatre and professional dance. Simmonds has previously taken up roles and been involved in performances such as Angelina Ballerina, Hairspray, Rent, BBC Singers and ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent as a singer and dancer.

Simmonds commented: "Stagecoach has a strong and long-running reputation in Weybridge, and I want to build on this and lead a strong, creative programme that will excite the next generation of talented children in the area. Our approach is not just about performing arts, it’s about creating an environment that's fun, inclusive and immensely rewarding for all children of all abilities and interests.”

Stagecoach Weybridge will shortly be announcing new classes, events and trips for 2024.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Weybridge is part of the biggest network of extra-curricular performing arts schools in the UK. The classes are divided across Early Stages (ages 4-6), Main Stages (ages 6-15) and Further Stages (ages 15+) and cover singing, dancing and acting.
