Reigate and Banstead road closures: more than a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Reigate and Banstead's motorists will have 13 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A23, from 8pm February 12 to 5.30am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 northbound, Dean Lane to Star Lane, Lane closure for traffic signal upgrading.

• A23, from 8pm February 1 to 5.30am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 southbound, Star Lane to Dean Lane, Lane closure for traffic signal upgrading.

• A23, from 8pm January 3 to 5.30am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 southbound, Star Lane to Church Lane, Lane closures under traffic signal control, for traffic signal upgrade.

• A23, from 8pm November 20 2023 to 5.30am March 23 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 northbound, Dean Lane to Star Lane, 24hr Multiphase traffic signals for traffic light upgrading works.

• A23, from 8pm January 4 to 5.30am March 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 Netherne Drive to Star Lane, 24hr Multiphase traffic signals for traffic light upgrading.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A23, from 8pm February 19 to 6am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 westbound, South Terminal roundabout to North Terminal roundabout, slip road closure for maintenance works.

• A23, from 8pm February 20 to 5.30am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 northbound, Dean lane to Star Lane, Lane closures under traffic signal control for traffic signal upgrading.

• M25, from 10pm February 22 to 5am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for technology emergency works.

• A23, from 8pm February 23 to 6am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 northbound, Dean Lane to Star Lane, Lane closure with multiphase traffic signals for traffic light upgrading.

• M23, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M23 southbound, M25 to junction 9, slip road and lane closure for maintenance works.

• M25, from 10pm February 27 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 7 to junction 8, Lane closures for technology emergency works.

• A23, from 8pm February 28 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A23 southbound and northbound, Star Lane to Dean Lane, Lane closures under traffic signal control for traffic light upgrading.

• M25, from 10pm March 4 to 6am April 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 8 to junction 7, Lane closures for A23 Painting works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
