Road closures: seven for Surrey Heath drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Surrey Heath will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Surrey Heath will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M3, from 8pm October 23 2023 to 6am February 24 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 4a to junction 3, carriageway closure for drainage work.

M3, from 8pm January 3 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 4a to junction 3, carriageway closure for drainage work.

M3, from 6am January 4 to 6am February 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 4 to junction 3, Lane closures for drainage works.

M3, from 8pm October 9 2023 to 6am March 1 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 4a to junction 2, slip road and lane closures for survey work.

M3, from 8pm April 3 2023 to 6am March 4 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 2 to junction 4a, slip road and lane closures for vegetation clearance and survey work.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M3, from 8pm February 12 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closures for drainage work.

M3, from 8pm February 17 to 5am February 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 3, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
