Wrestling fans are getting ready to rumble at the Haslemere Hall on Friday

A Surrey wrestler faces the biggest bout of his career at the Haslemere Hall on Friday (February 20).

Harry Sefton will be fighting for the Premier Wrestling Federation championship when he goes into the ring against the reigning champion, David Lovejoy, from Worthing.

The popular Camberley grappler has waited 12 months for the chance to become the new lightweight champion after he defeated Lovejoy in a non-title bout on the last Haslemere show.

The match, between two of the the most talented “little men” in UK wrestling, should be a classic, and Sefton is determined to seize his chance and leave the arena with the belt around his waist.

Lovejoy, whose high-flying style makes him something a crowd-pleaser in his own right, will have other ideas, but there is no doubt Sefton will have the backing of most of the fans.

New Zealand champion Spartan makes his Haslemere debut in the other feature contest when he takes on the Sussex champion, P. J. Reeves, in a big heavyweight clash.

Alexander Moore and Jimmy Swift go up against Rex Armstrong and Christian Dante in the evening’s tag-team bout, and when the dust has settled on all of that there is still an American rumble to crown the king of the ring with the contestants being eliminated by being thrown out of the ring over the top rope, and the last man standing declared the winner.

The show starts at 7.30, and tickets are available from the Haslemere Hall box office.
