Dobbies Garden Centres has entered a new partnership with Waves, the UK’s leading hand car wash and valeting provider, with the launch of a brand-new site at its Woodcote Green store in Surrey.

Dobbies has announced a number of investments over the course of the year, including new ranges and a national store refurbishment programme.

This partnership with Waves is another part of our focus on customer experience, having taken on board feedback from local customers to introduce this service, with a plan to roll this out to other stores across the UK.

The partnership marks Waves’ first garden centre collaboration in over five years, bringing a premium car wash experience to customers browsing the store, dining in the restaurant or attending an event. With the UK hand car wash market now worth £1.8bn and revenues rising by 40% in recent years [1], the new site taps into growing demand while adding extra convenience for Dobbies’ customers.

The new location is part of Waves’ growing network of over 280 sites across the UK and aligns with both companies’ shared focus on quality and customer experience.

Jon Hoare, General Manager at Dobbies Woodcote Green store, said: “We’re committed to offering the best possible experience for our customers. With the addition of Waves to our location, they can now benefit from the added convenience of a professional car wash service while browsing the garden centre, enjoying our restaurant or attending one of our seasonal events or soft play.”

Joanna Graham, CEO at Waves said: “We’re excited to bring Waves’ services to Dobbies for the first time. As one of the UK’s most recognisable and trusted brands in garden retail, Dobbies is a fantastic partner for us, and we look forward to expanding our partnership in the future.”
