Sussex and Surrey traffic: Tailbacks on A27 after collision; 'severe delays' on M25
Heavy rush hour traffic delays have been reported across Sussex and Surrey, on Wednesday, July 8.
There are long delays in the Chichester area, following an earlier collision on the Fishbourne roundabout. This has resulted in long queues on the eastbound A27, despite restrictions now being lifted.
Just further along, a stalled vehicle near Portfield Way is partially blocking the eastbound carriageway, adding to congestion. Delays of up to 14 minutes are being reported between Emsworth and Stockbridge roundabout, with traffic moving at around ten miles an hour.
Elsewhere, the B2166 Lower Bognor Road, near Bognor Regis, was reported as closed, in both directions, following a collision between Pembroke Way and Chalcraft Lane.

There was another collision on the A283 Steyning Road, where two cars collided near Dacre Gardens, leaving the road partially blocked with queues in both directions.
The A27 was also busy further east, with ten-minute delays on The Causeway, Arundel, 13-minute delays on Upper Brighton Road between Southwick and Sompting, and slower traffic through Polegate and Lewes.
Other delays are affecting the Sompting Bypass, the A259 through Lancing, Brighton and Newhaven, and the A22 Hailsham Bypass, where queues continue approaching Boship roundabout.
For anyone travelling further afield, there are still severe delays on the M25 anticlockwise between Leatherhead and Reigate, with congestion stretching back to the A3 at Wisley, although all lanes have now reopened.
On the A3 Guildford Bypass, the southbound carriageway was partially blocked by an obstruction in the road between the Dennis Roundabout and the cathedral. Queueing traffic built back to Stoke Crossroads, with congestion affecting surrounding routes across Guildford.
Elsewhere, Pursers Lane has been closed in both directions following a collision between Rad Lane and Sweet Lane. Slow traffic is reported in the area while emergency services deal with the incident.
