‘Massive part of our success’ – Horsham FC defender joins National League South rivals
Popular defender Isaac Philpot has left Horsham FC to return to National League South rivals Dorking Wanderers, his hometown club.
The classy centre-back – described as a ‘Rolls Royce’ by manager Dominic Di Paola – became the 12th player in the squad to reach 100 Horsham appearances when he ran out at Enfield Town in February.
He was also one of the history-making all-centurion starting XI against Chippenham Town on the final day of the 2025-26 season.
Di Paola said: “We’re gutted to lose Isaac. He’s been a massive part of our success over the last two seasons.

“He’ll be much missed, a lovely lad, and we wish him all the best.”
In a little over two years at the club – which coincidentally began with a debut against Enfield Town in January 2024 – Philpot clocked up 115 appearances in yellow and green, including 103 starts and 35 clean sheets.
He also contributed six goals, the last of them being in the FA Trophy quarter-final against Southend United.
