Liam Payne posted on social media just hours before his death.

Looking relaxed and happy, with what seems to be his girlfriend Kate Cassidy in the background, he was in Argentina at his friend Gon’s house, talking about playing polo and how it was a ‘lovely day in Argentina’.

He says he is enjoying warm weather and breakfast at 1pm and Cassidy interjects to say that ‘literally we sleep in every day until at least 12pm - we’re such losers’. To which Payne smiles and says ‘No’.

The 31-year-old has died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. It would appear the posts were scheduled.

The Snapchat videos were certainly made several days ago, as Cassidy returned to Florida earlier in the week. In the video Payne talks about Florida and how he hoped everyone was OK, ‘including the little dogs’.

"Today, we ride. We're going to ride some horses," he said, in one of the videos. "Think I'm going to play polo again, which is going to put me out of action for about six weeks.

"It's so hard to do, number one, my back and my neck from swinging that hammer around... or mallet, I think it's called if you're in the know. It hurts a lot, it's very tough to do."

Payne had not posted on X to his 33m followers since March, when promoting his single Teardrops. And it is the same story on Instagram, where he had 27m followers.
