New £240k hearcare centre coming to Farnham
A BRAND-NEW hearcare centre is set to open in Farnham as ground broke on the project.
The audiology team at Specsavers Farnham is moving from the current location it shares with the optics team on West Street to a new decdicated hearing centre on The Borough.
Work has now begun on the project, which is taking place over the next few weeks, with an opening date expected at the end of February.
The development is a £240,000 investment into Farnham’s high street, with two new team members being hired at the new location.
The store is expected to create space for an extra seven clinics per week, as well as offering more room for the team to grow and allow better access for hearcare services in the area.
The optics team will remain at the store on West Street, ensuring eye and earcare is available for the community.
Emma Walker, director of hearing services at Specsavers Farnham Hearing Centre, says: ‘Having been the audiology partner in the Farnham Specsavers store for 11 years now, I have had the pleasure of being able to ensure the very best levels of care for the community’s hearing for a long time.
‘The need for this service has grown exponentially, and the time had come to invest in a beautiful new premises, with more room and a team dedicated to continuing our legacy of providing exceptional levels of care.
‘We will now have the ability to be able to service more people more quickly, and in a warm and welcoming, modern environment.’
